DHADING: A bus met with an accident in Darchowk VDC of Chitwan district along the Prithvi Highway, killing six persons and injuring 10, on Sunday night.

The ill-fated bus (Na 4 Kha 5829) was heading towards Hile of Dhankuta from Kathmandu when it veered off the road and fell into the Trishuli River in Fisling at around 7:30 pm today.

It has been learnt that the six persons died on the spot.

According to the Area Police Office, Muglin, of the injured, nine persons have been taken to Bharatpur of Chitwan for medical treatment.

Police said that locals, Armed Police Force (AFP) personnel and Nepal Police personnel are carrying out rescue operation.

The reason behind the fatal accident is due to the narrow and bumpy road, police said.
