National Youth Federation Nepal (NYFN) is a youth umbrella organization, having network in 72 districts of Nepal. It is a non-political, not-for-profit, non-governmental organization established under the guidelines of National Youth Policy 2010 and having a competitive team members in its management. NYFN is implementing a ‘Youth Development and Participation’ program supported by various government/Non-government organizations and executing various activities in innovative manner. NYFN now call for a position to lead the ‘Youth Development and Participation Program’ as:

Position: Program Officer (One)

Program/Unit: Youth Development and Participation (YDP) Program

 

Duty Station:  Kathmandu

 

The Role:

The Program Officer (PO) will have overall responsibility for the ‘Youth Development and Participation-YDP’ program. The PO will play a key role in the design/develop, fundraising, implementation and evaluation of program activities in participatory approach within the available resources. S/he is also responsible for the Admin and Finance of the program unit. It is expected to coordinate team members including volunteers, interns and strengthen all areas of NYFN operations. The PO is directly responsible with the Program Manager and will work closely with NYFN Management Team expecting an efficient result.

Required qualifications and experience:

Note: NYFN policy is ‘No more office laptops for its staff members’ due to a trend of its mismanagement and damage. Therefore the successful candidate should use own laptop in NYFN office. Salaries and benefits are negotiable as NYFN Policy.
