DHADING: Body of a police personnel was found in a corn field near the Area Police Office, Darkha, in Khaniyabas Rural Municipality-4 of Dhading district on Friday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Bir Bahadur Gurung. He was stationed with the APO in the northern rim of the district.

Gurung had gone to bed at 11:00 pm on last night. However, he was found dead in the field at around 6:oo am today, according to the the inspector Santa Lama at the DPO.

Meanwhile, a team deployed from the DPO under the command of  Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Dipendra Panjiyar, has advanced to the incident site for investigation, said Inspector Lama. It would take at least five hours to reach the incident site in the remote area of the district, added Lama.
