DHADING: After seven hours of obstructed due to landslides, the Machhedikhola-Baireni road section along the Prithvi Highway has come into one-way operation this morning.
The traffic, which was obstructed since 3 am as incessant rainfall triggered landslides. reopened at 10 am today.
Hundreds of vehicles and passengers were stranded along the highway.
According to the District Police Office, Dhading, the highway came into operation after police personnel with the help of excavator cleared off the mudslides.
Locals informed that landslides fell from the sandmine operated above the road at Mahesh Dobhan of Baireni-9.
