DHADING: A person died after a motorcycle he was riding on collided with a truck in Gajuri Rural Municipality-2 of Dhading district on Monday morning.

The deceased has been identified as  motorcyclist Shambhu Basnet (45 ) of Dolakha district.

According to police, the incident occurred when the truck (Na 6 Kha 2752) en route from  Malekhu to Gajuri collided head-on with the motorcycle (Ba 73 Pa 4973) near Bihan Pump, injuring Basnet this morning.

The critically injured Basnet was rushed to the Gajuri Hospital where he succumbed to his injures during the course of treatment, informed Superintendent of Police Dhurba Raj Raut, at the District Police Office, Dhading.

Meanwhile, Gajuri-based Area Police Office have impounded the truck and detained its driver further investigation, said police.
