DHADING: Dil Bahadur Shrestha of Kampur, Dhading came into contact with his family members after a year.

Kumar Malla Thakuri of Thingmang, Jogimara-3 of southern Dhading has been out of contact with his family members for the past four years.

According to a family member, Thakuri who had gone to Malaysia through the East-West Overseas in 2008 has been out of contact since 2010.

Thakuri was detained by police after a Malaysian man lost his life in a gang fight between two groups. The man died during the course of treatment, a family member informed.

After the family of Thakuri came to know about the incident, Kumar’s father Nir Bahadur Malla Thakuri urged the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Department of Foreign Employment, the concerned manpower company time and again to bring his son back to Nepal as per rules and regulations of Nepal and punish him in the country if found guilty.

A pall of gloom has enveloped the Thakuri family following the incident.

Thakuri is not only a man who went incommunicado abroad. There are many others from Dhading district alone.

Likewise, parents of Dron Prasad Khanal of Ratnanagar-3 of Chitwan have also been searching for his son after he went out of communication since 2008.

He had gone to Saudi Arabia through Mobira Overseas in December 26, 2006.

Khanal had informed to his family members that he had shifted to another company as the company where he had applied for the job from Nepal did not provide him the job and salary as agreed earlier.

The family members of Khanal suspect that he might have been languishing in a prison in Saudi Arabia.

A man from Pokhara, who got released from the prison where Khanal is doing time for no reason, said that Khanal has been in the prison as he has no one to get him out of that.
