DHADING: A rape victim was forced to wash her hands off her job after she filed a case against the rapist seeking justice.

Juneli (name changed), currently working as a peon in a local school was raped by her own nephew. When she approached court to seek justice against the rapist, the school headmaster sacked her.

Juneli, a single woman fell prey to the heinous crime on November 23, last year, by her own relative Sanjeev Simkhada after she did not cast her vote to the candidate of Nepali Congress (NC) in the November 19 CA elections.

Rape accused Sanjeev; also the cadre of the Nepali Congress is currently on the run after a charge-sheet was lodged in the district court against him.

Juneli claimed that she was fired from her job on March 23 as she did not pay heed to the locals’ urges to withdraw case against Sanjeev.

Juneli, who was making four lives including her two children and 75-year-old mother-in-law with her job as a peon, has now gone helpless.
